Hoppers hold spirits high

HOPPERS: John Towell, Junior DeSilva, Reggie D’Souza and SilvaDee.FREO Grasshoppers are kicking with energy as they look forward to summer and the release of new EP Taking You Home Tonight.

Frontman SilvaDee, bassist Junior D’Silva, drummer Mark Johnson and John Towell on the keyboard stick to their motto, “Give them a great time!”, at every performance, and it shows.

Their track Money Money Money has already been a hit at gigs, and fans have booked copies of the EP in advance.

SilvaDee said he had hopes that the EP “will place the band at a different level”.

Their next aim is to play at more festivals to really showcase the band’s talent, however, the ‘hoppers do enjoy a good local gig.

“We always love playing at Settlers,” SilvaDee said.

“It’s a great venue with a brilliant ambience and crowd that turns the venue into a party night.”

See them perform at Settlers Tavern, Margaret River on Friday.
