The Ten Network axed the show after poor ratings, with the number of viewers sinking to around 350,000 nationally.

The show’s complicated format was also blamed for the poor ratings.

The show was axed before Kurt had a chance to appear.

Kurt could not be contacted by The Weekly last week.

However, in a Facebook message Kurt was upbeat.

“Well guys! Unfortunately the show has been cancelled due to poor ratings!” he wrote.

“Not to worry.. I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me and sent me incredible messages and comments!

“I appreciate it all so much and I am very grateful to have such unbelievable and influential caring people in my life! Thank you everyone!”

Kurt is in his second year in the Queensland Ballet Company’s professional year course.
